Dr. Bjork received his undergraduate degree in Vision Science from Ferris State University. He earned his doctoral degree from the Michigan College of Optometry, where he graduated first in his class. He then completed an additional year of residency training in ocular disease at the Cincinnati Eye Institute. After completing his residency, Dr. Bjork joined Middletown Eye Care and worked in the retina clinic at the Cincinnati Eye Institute for 15 years. “I am thankful to have had the opportunity to gain the clinical skill and knowledge to manage patients with complex retinal problems. Many systemic medical problems can manifest in the retina, which is why it is the most interesting and complex part of the eye. That’s also why it has always been my passion.” Dr. Bjork is certified in the treatment and management of ocular disease. He also holds clinical privileges at Atrium Medical Center. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry. He is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Ohio Optometric Association.
After graduating from Springboro High School, Dr. Fisher attended The Ohio State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in biology. After a brief career as a microbiologist, Dr. Fisher returned to school to earn her doctor of optometry degree from The Ohio State University. She has earned several awards for academic and clinical excellence. She received the J. Pat Cummings Scholarship for demonstrating strong clinical standards, the Ohio Optometric Foundation Scholarship, and the John F. Schuller Scholarship for her commitment to community service and work with visually impaired and developmentally disabled individuals. Dr. Fisher looks forward to serving this community. She has a special interest in pediatric care. "Many children have vision issues that go unnoticed and can affect school performance if left untreated. The American Optometric Association estimates that one in four children has a vision-related problem that affects their ability to recognize, comprehend, and retain information. Helping children in this community reach their full potential without vision limitations is the most rewarding part of optometry." She is certified in the treatment and management of ocular disease.
